Little Explorers
Join us this summer for Little Explorers – our brand-new woodland stay-and-play sessions designed especially for pre-school children and under 7s.
Running weekly for six weeks from mid-July until September, Little Explorers offers a relaxed and welcoming outdoor space where little ones can play freely, explore nature, and burn off energy in a safe woodland setting.
Each 90-minute session runs from 9:30am to 11:00am, giving children plenty of time to climb, build, discover and enjoy child-led play at their own pace. We'll provide a variety of simple, engaging activities alongside our signature straw play features, encouraging imagination, movement, creativity and social interaction.
Whether you're meeting friends, entertaining the grandchildren, or simply looking for a fun morning outdoors, Little Explorers is all about fresh air, freedom to play, and making happy memories together.
Activities Include
- Mud kitchen
- Water play (summer months)
- Farm and straw play
- Tuff tray play stations
- Digging and construction play
- Creative and messy play
- Gardening and growing activities
- Nature walks and woodland exploration
Refreshments
The Toot will be on site serving:
- Barista coffee
- Hot drinks
- Cakes
- Children's snacks
There will also be seating and a rain shelter available.
Location
Sessions take place in our woodland area accessed via the Thame Lane entrance (not the main events field).
Please use postcode OX14 3DX and follow the signs on arrival.
Important Information
- This is an outdoor event and will go ahead in most weather conditions. Refunds will only be available if we have to cancel the session.
- There is a short, buggy-friendly walk of approximately 400m from the car park to the play area.
- Children should be dressed appropriately for the weather and prepared for mud, sand and straw!
- Basic compost toilet and handwashing facilities are available.
- Parking is free.
