Halloween SEND sessions
Our dedicated SEND session runs from 9am–10am, before the main event gets busier, with reduced visitor numbers and a calmer atmosphere for children and families.
Arrive anytime between 9am and 10am to enjoy this quieter period. There’s no need to leave at 10am – once you're here, you're very welcome to stay and enjoy High Lodge for the rest of the day at your own pace.
The experience and activities are the same as our main Halloween event, just with a gentler start to your visit.
The Midnight Moon Mystery
Autumn is returning to High Lodge Farm, and this Halloween there’s a brand-new mystery waiting in the woods...
Every Halloween, the Midnight Moon glows above High Lodge Farm, filling the woodland with a little autumn magic. But this year, something has gone wrong – the Midnight Moon is beginning to fade.
The creatures of the forest need your help to bring back its glow.
Set off on our Midnight Moon Mystery, a magical 1km woodland trail filled with spooky surprises, mischievous skeletons and curious characters. Follow the clues, find the hidden letters and discover the secret word that will restore the Midnight Moon before Halloween night.
Once you've solved the mystery, there's plenty more autumn fun to discover. Wander through our Pumpkin Patch to choose your perfect pumpkin, get creative with pumpkin painting and moon crafts, and burn off some energy in our Giant Play Patch, with straw bale play, rustic farm equipment, giant games and our vintage tractor.
Hop aboard our spooky barrel ‘ghost’ train for a bumpy ride around the farm, toast marshmallows by the fire, or warm up with hot chocolates, seasonal treats and food.
It’s a day of pumpkins, woodland adventures, creativity and outdoor Halloween fun, with a quieter start especially for SEND families.

- Entry to our Pumpkin Patch & Photo Stations (pumpkins purchased separately)
- The Midnight Moon Mystery 1km woodland trail and activity sheet
- All-day access to our Giant Play Patch
- A free sweet treat for every child
- Access to our food and refreshment area, serving hot and cold drinks, cakes, burgers, chips, toasties and seasonal treats
Pumpkin painting and moon crafts will also be available for a small additional charge, with everything little artists need to get creative.
What makes this a SEND session?
From 9am–10am, we will deliberately keep visitor numbers lower to create a quieter, calmer start to the day.
Families can explore at their own pace, and there is no requirement to complete every activity or follow the trail in a particular way.
At 10am, our standard Halloween admission begins, so the farm will gradually become busier. SEND ticket holders are still very welcome to remain on site and stay for as long as they like during our daytime opening hours. Our site is huge, so even when there's lots of visitors on site, it rarely feels busy!

A few things to remember
- Tickets are non-refundable unless we're forced to cancel the event, in which case you'll receive a full refund.
- This is an outdoor event and we'll generally be open whatever the weather, so wellies, warm layers and weather-appropriate clothing are highly recommended.
- If you create an account when booking, you can move your tickets to another available date if your plans change.
- Pumpkins, pumpkin painting, moon crafts, barrel train rides and marshmallow toasting are not included in the standard ticket price and can be purchased separately.
